The SEC has filed charges and obtained an asset freeze against Julie Anne Darrah for allegedly misappropriating over $2 million from nine elderly clients. Darrah would allegedly become the trustee of their trusts, transfer funds from their accounts to their bank accounts, then transfer the money into her own personal bank accounts. The money was used to pay for personal expenses and operate a restaurant business.
