Failure to Supervise/Real Estate Investment Scam
Former Valmark Securities broker Will Olinger is the subject of customer allegations related to investment losses in a failed real estate project known as Celebration Pointe Plaza. Olinger was registered with Valmark Securities from 1999 through February 2025 and operated out of an office in Gainesville, Florida. He also ran Koss Olinger Consulting, a registered investment advisory firm.
A former client has filed a legal claim alleging that Olinger recommended investments in Celebration Pointe without properly disclosing his conflicts of interest. The complaint claims that Olinger had a significant interest in the success of the project because multiple clients had invested in it. The case also names other parties involved in the project, including Svein Dyrkolbotn and Viking Companies, and alleges that Celebration Pointe would have failed years earlier if not for continued cash infusions from the claimant.
Celebration Pointe Plaza and related companies filed for bankruptcy in 2024, resulting in substantial investor losses. Investors allege they were not adequately informed of the risks or Olinger’s financial ties to the project’s management.
Brokerage firms such as Valmark Securities are obligated under FINRA regulations to reasonably supervise the conduct of their registered representatives. If the firm failed to meet this duty, it may be held responsible for client losses resulting from misconduct.
If you invested with Will Olinger or in Celebration Pointe Plaza and suspect your losses were due to misconduct or inadequate supervision, contact ChapmanAlbin to learn more about your legal rights and potential recovery.
