Unsuitable Recommendations

Investors have reported losses after investing in Urban Catalyst, a California-based real estate firm that has organized multiple development projects in federally designated opportunity zones. The company has raised millions in investor capital through offerings such as Urban Catalyst Opportunity Fund I, LLC and Urban Catalyst Opportunity Zone II, LLC.

While opportunity zone (“OZ”) investments may offer potential tax benefits, they are often speculative and unsuitable for many investors due to their illiquidity and risk. Additional offerings by Urban Catalyst have included UC Multifamily Equity I LLC, Urban Catalyst Industrial I DST, and Urban Catalyst Bridge Equity I LLC.

If your accountant, investment advisor, or stockbroker recommended an investment in an Urban Catalyst program, you may be able to pursue recovery of your losses.
