The SEC ordered Cease-and-Desist proceedings against RiverSource Distributors, Inc. The respondent submitted an Offer of Settlement that the SEC has determined to accept. RiverSource allegedly sold complex and risky variable annuities, and is ordered to pay a civil penalty.
