Rashawn Russell, a former investment banker and registered broker, was sentenced to three years and five months in prison for orchestrating a $1.5 million cryptocurrency fraud scheme. Between November 2020 and August 2022, Russell defrauded investors with false promises of high returns, misappropriating their funds for personal expenses, gambling, and repaying other investors. Additionally, from September 2021 to June 2023, he obtained credit card information and IDs from gym lockers for unauthorized transactions. Russell must also pay $1.5 million in restitution to the victims​
