SEC Final Judgment

On August 12, 2024, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York issued a final judgment against Rand Heckler, enjoining him from violating federal securities laws. Heckler, a former broker barred by FINRA in 2019, had been accused of fraudulently soliciting over $700,000 from an elderly investor and their son by falsely claiming to manage a successful hedge fund through his defunct company, Rand Heckler, Inc. Instead of investing the funds, Heckler allegedly misappropriated them for personal expenses and used fake account statements to conceal his scheme. The SEC charged Heckler with multiple violations of federal securities regulations.
