Lincoln Financial has faced five customer complaints regarding Meaney’s recommendations, three of which were filed in FINRA arbitration. Three of these complaints involved oil and gas investments, with the most recent alleging a $75,000 loss in an oil and gas investment called Atlas. Paul Meaney has worked at Lincoln Financial Advisors in Waltham, Massachusetts, since 2007. Alternative investments like oil and gas can carry significant risks, and if the investment is a private placement, the investor must be qualified or accredited to invest.
