A final judgment has been entered against start-up technology company Medsis International, Inc. The Complaint alleged that Medsis raised nearly $13 million fraudulently from over 150 investors by offering unregistered securities. Joshua Dax Cabrera and Paul Hess made material misrepresentations and misleading statements regarding the investments and used investor funds for personal use. Medsis International is ordered to pay over $15 million in disgorgement, prejudgment interest, and a civil penalty.
