The SEC charged Brent Seaman and various entities he managed for allegedly raising $35 million from 60 elderly, retired investors through unregistered securities. Many of these investors were involved in the Naples, Florida church where Seaman was a member. Seaman promised investors he would use the money to invest in technology companies but instead was always unprofitable, and used millions for personal purchases and to pay earlier investors.
